Angel Burn

Angel Burn (Angel, #1)Angel Burn by L.A. Weatherly

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Angels are sent to Earth to feed on humans. The human snacks either end up dead or have "angel burn" a complete feeling of happiness and peace, all the while getting sicker and sicker. Lucky for us there are AKs (angel killers) trying to protect us. Lots of action and romance in this book. This is the being of a new trilogy!

The Forest of Hands and Teeth

The Forest of Hands and Teeth (The Forest of Hands and Teeth, #1)The Forest of Hands and Teeth by Carrie Ryan

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Mary lives in a walled village in what once was the United States. Outside the walls are the unconsecrated, once alive human beings, but now "infected" and banished to outside the village. Unconsecrated are forced to fight for food - human flesh. The only way to kill an unconsecrated "person" is to cut its head off. Mary's father is missing and assumed to be unconsecrated and her mother was infected and chose to become unconsecrated in order to find her husband. Mary, despite knowing the danger involved is determined to leave her village and find what is beyond her village walls. This is the first book in a trilogy.
